The MPEYE HTS-200 5GB is currently the world’s smallest hard drive digital audio player being a miniscule 70 X 43 X 18 (mm). This equates to almost half the size of the Apple iPod Mini. The
build quality of the HTS-200 is sensational, featuring a strong metallic
aluminium outer body along with a shock absorbing rubber inner cover. We’ve
tried dropping the player on the floor and throwing it around the office and it
didn’t skip once. The front of the player is dominated by a super sharp 128x80
pixels 65K full colour LCD screen; it may be small but it’s definitely perfectly
formed. As well as displaying track information, battery life etc, the MPEYE
supports JPEG photo display and moving picture animations through the supplied
logo editor. It’s a really nice touch watching animated photos as you listen to
your favorite music. You’d expect the battery life to suffer with such a bright
full color screen but the HTS-200 will keep on going for over
18 hours via its built-in rechargeable lithium
battery. A full charge of this battery only takes 2 hours and you can replenish
70% of the battery capacity in 1 hour.
